Dagda is important in Irish mythology and the Chieftain of Tuatha dé Danann a tribe of Celtic Gods and goddesses, although some refer to them as being Fae or Faelike.

He is credited with many powers and possessed a caldron that was never empty, fruit trees that were never barren, and two pigs—one live and the other perpetually roasting. He also had a huge club that had the power both to kill men and to restore them to life. With his harp, which played by itself, he summoned the seasons. Many of his myths emphasize food and abundance. It was said to not only did he have an immense appetite, but also to be able to provide amply for others. It is also said that he owned a cauldron that never when dry and a huge ladle. Nobody it is said, went hungry at his table. Which speaks of a leader who was focused on making sure everyone had enough to eat, and that this god is has energies of abundance, community and caring for others about him.
