I am a Aotearoa based Textile Artists who creates modern fabric tapestries, fine art  using applique techniques and whimsical art dolls that I call Fetchfolk.

My fabric tapestries are themed around magic, folklore, mythology and witchcraft.  They are both beautiful art and magically themed devotional piece.  I make deities out of fabric.  

 

The Fetchfolk art dolls came about, because I want to encourage adults to find that feeling on whimsy, and for them to invite wonder and magical back into their lives.  Each fetchfolk is individually crafted by me and each has their very own story.  

 

My inspirations include, but aren't limited to, folklore, spirituality, modern witchcraft, the creation of modern folklore through pop culture, and combining it all into a cohesive and evocative whole.  This influences my devotional work and the fetches, faeries and poppets that I create.
